Eight schools have closed up in Rashad County of Nuba Mountains SPLM-N control areas due to lack of teachers..
County Education Director, Hamed Musa Jabaklli lamented that they are greatly affected by lack of teachers.Mr. Jabaklli added that there are only four schools operating but still struggling with fewÊ teachers and lacking books.
He said only one school out of four schools is working at the moment while the rest are on stand still amid security concerns in the area.
The Director said that they have changed the system of education including the language of learning from Arabic to English.
He said pupils of upper classes have been demoted and started afresh from class one with English as a language of instructions.
