The South Sudan AIDS Commission has launched a massive HIV/AIDS awareness, testing and counselling to prevent mother to child transmission of HIV.

Youngson David Shadrack told Bakhita Radio, that the purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and orient the public before the official World AIDS Day on December 1st.

He explained that there are several locations for testing and counselling including Seventh Day Adventist, Gurei, Gabat, Rock City and Buluk residential areas.
Mr Shadrack explained that lack of finance limited the campaign going from Juba to other cities of South Sudan.
Mr Shadrack said several activities including Radio talk shows, awareness campaigns and musical performance would be conducted in preparation to the World AIDS Day.
