A member of Lakes State Legislative Assembly said he was unhappy by the speaker’s statement during the announcement of the heads of specialized committees.
Shardrack Bol Machok told Good News Radio last Saturday that the speaker referred him and Moses Ater Manyiel as MPs representing themselves in the assembly.He said the entire public should be aware that no MP represents himself/herselfÊ in the assembly.
Mr Bol said that Wulu County is not represented by one MP but all MPs elected during the 2010 general elections.
He accused the speaker of favouring the MP that came to the assembly on SPLM party woman list.
Mr Bol appealed to the communities not to despair despite challenges of diseases outbreak, poverty, food security and poor roads that South Sudan faces.
The Speaker seconded the nomination of women to participate based on the Assembly 25 percent affirmative action enshrined in Lakes state constitution.
Shardrack Bol Machok and Moses Ater Manyiel are the two MPs from Wulu County came to the State Assembly as independent candidates during the 2010 general elections.
