The Council of Ministers strongly condemned Sudan’s aerial attacks in Kiir Adem and Gok Machar areas of Aweil in Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial told the press on Friday that on Tuesday and Wednesday Sudanese Antonovs dropped more than a dozen bombs in Kiir Adem and in Gok Machar areas killing and injuring a number of people.
He said Sudan dishonoured the cooperation agreements signed in September 27 with the wanton aerial attacks and South Sudan sent protests to the UN and AU.
Dr Marial expressed the Government’s condolences to the families that lost their dear ones in the bombardments.
The Spokesperson said the Government is taking necessary steps to protect citizens.
