The Unity State Governor, Taban Deng Gai, on Wednesday has relieved a number of state and local officials including Parieng County Commissioner Mabek Lang De Bilkuey.
The Governor also relieved the state Minister for Culture, Youth and Sport, William Majuach, and state Minister for Education and General instructions, Theme Machar Kuol, Internews reported.Parieng Paramount chief was also among the officials relieved from their position.
The posts of the relieved state officials remained vacant and it is not clear when the governor will appoint the new people to the positions.
Mr Lang was the only Commissioner who served for the last 18 years from 1994 to 2012.
