ECONOMIC EXPERTS HELP SOUTH SUDAN MANAGE ECONOMY

International Growth Group, economic experts are helping South Sudan government in monetary and exchange rate management, monetary policy and microeconomic management.

South Sudan Economist, J. Pape told Bakhita Radio that his groups met government stakeholders to identify areas where the centre can support the government.

He said after identifying areas, the experts will analyze the policy and then disseminate the analysis to the country.

Mr Pape added that his groups are working on agriculture, labour, trade, monetary policy, fiscal management, investment and mobile money.

He said their Centre in South Sudan is currently working on market, regional integration, and diversification of the economy and microeconomic projects.

Mr Pape announced that the Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Botswana will visit South Sudan to help his South Sudanese counterpart and Ministry of Finance to find out monetary and microeconomic policy.

He said his centre operates in 11 Countries as a think tank directed by the London School of Economic and Political Science that analyzes and give suggestions to governments.
