TEACHERS LEARN NEW SCIENCES TEACHING METHODS

Western Bahr El Ghazal sciences and maths primary and secondary schools educators are learning how to teach their subjects with fun.

Trainer Moliy Masikeh told Voice of Hope that the training aimed at improving the skills of teachers so that the students can understand science and maths in an enjoyable way.

She said the ministry wants students to enjoy difficult subjects like sciences, maths and physics that make their life difficult during exams.

Ms Masikeh said the country needs more doctors, engineers and pilots and students need to enjoy maths and sciences since primary education to follow those professions.

She added that the new teaching method will help the teachers to work better and the students to learn more while enjoying the subjects.

Thirty teachers from the three counties of Western Bahr el-Ghazal state are attending the ten-day training in Wau supported by JICA, the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
