Citizens in Juba have expressed their views ahead of President Omar Al Bashir’s visit to South Sudan later this month.
President Bashir is expected to visit Juba to strengthen the cooperation agreements signed last September.Alier speaking on Wakeup Juba Morning Show said many agreements had been signed but the issue of Abyei remained unresolved.
He said South Sudanese does not worry about Bashir’s visit.
Alier added that it was important if he came to implement the agreements.
Fred, another caller, said the coming of President Bashir was a matter of national security and citizens should respect the decision taken by the Government.
He said though Bashir had committed many crimes in South Sudan, he honoured the peace agreement and the independence deal.
President Bashir is expected to visit Juba this month.
Last April, he refused to attend the Presidential Summit in Juba after the SPLA occupied Higlig-Panthou oil-rich area disputed by both countries.
