THREE WOMEN ATTACKED IN TONJ

Three women on Sunday evening were attacked in Nimeriwahit of Tonj South County, Warrap State.

One of the women, Mamui Ba Njur, told Don Bosco FM they were beaten by men from another tribe while collecting firewood in the bush near their home.

She said the attackers stubbed her on the back and injured other parts of her body.

She added that the attackers ordered them not to say anything about the incident.

The five attackers had two gun and three spears.

Executive Bongo chief John Njur Ð who went to the place of the incident Ð said the women were badly beaten.

He took them to Tonj Civil Hospital for treatment.

Chief Njur He added that on Tuesday Juma Gbagaja was attacked in Aguka and the assailants took his property.

He said the Dinka Gok people are attacking his community frequently although they have no cows.

He urged the Government to look into the issue for the Bongo community to remain in peace and build the new nation.
