AMUM HONOURS UPPER NILE UNIVERSITY GRADUATION

The Head of Upper Nile University Administration Council has honoured the first batch of students that graduated in the state since the country became independent last year.

The graduation of 567 students took place in Malakal Freedom Square on Sunday, Voice of Love reported.

The occasion was attended by national officials from Juba.

Pagan Amum Okiej called for education promotion across the country, especially high education, to cope up with development demands in various sections.

He pointed out that taking care of university environment was fundamental to bring up a competent generation capable of working and delivering good services to the country in upcoming years.

Mr Amum urged the people of Upper Nile to continue with their unlimited support for the state university.

He praised the support from Upper Nile Governor Simon Kun Puoc, Jonglei Governor Kuol Manyang Juuk and the Collo King towards the University of Upper Nile, which he described as a patriotic act needed by all to build the nation.
