A high rank Sudanese delegation is visiting Juba soon to discuss with South Sudanese counterparts the implementation of the recently signed cooperation deal that contains eight different agreements.
Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press on Friday a number of joint ministerial committees from the two countries will be formed to implement the agreements.Dr Marial said the date for the visit was not yet fixed.
He clarified that the agreements normalized relationships between the leadership of both countries.
Dr Marial said the ministers of defence would meet soon to implement the demilitarized zone along the border.
He clarified that SPLA and SAF military are already undergoing training in Asosa, Ethiopia, to monitor the buffer zone after regular troops left the area.
South Sudan and Sudan have signed a security agreement to get a 20-kilometer demilitarized corridor between the two countries monitored by the Ethiopian force in Abyei and a joint South Sudanese-Sudanese force.
South Sudan National Assembly should endorse the agreements on a special session on Thursday.
