The cooperation between France and South Sudan is set to continue for the years to come.

French Ambassador to South Sudan, Christian Bader, said France is looking forward to helping South Sudan in the sector of information that he termed as extremely important in South Sudan.

He was speaking during the graduation of 12 staff from South Sudan Radio on Saturday in Juba after a two-week training on radio documentation.

Ambassador Bader said France was also looking forward to maintaining bilateral ties with South Sudan.

He added that the graduation ceremony should not be the end of cooperation, but France and South Sudan should work together for the sake of information.

Rehan Abdel Nebi, who runs South Sudan Radio, said he hoped France-South Sudan cooperation would continue.

He urged Radio France International to continue broadcasting in Juba despite difficulties because listeners needed a wide radio offer.

Mr Abdel challenged the graduates to put into practice the skills they acquired during the training.

The two-week training for the staff of South Sudan Radio on radio documentation was conducted by Radio France International in the French Cultural Institute at the University of Juba compound.
