The Vice President of the Republic said that peace is the most valuable reality South Sudan achieved and it must be kept for a sustainable future.
Riek Machar Teny told the crowd celebrating International Day of Peace on Friday in Nyakuron Cultural Centre, Juba, that the event was a very important day and South Sudanese should sing about it.Dr Machar said the people of South Sudan were starting to internalize the International Peace Day as their day and not the UN’s.
He added that for South Sudan to enjoy permanent peace, the people in uniform must get involved in the economic sector to transform the country because they were the ones who challenged the world to liberate it.
