Lakes State Peace Coordinator urged the people of South Sudan to take advantage of the opportunity presented by the International Day of Peace to do what is good.

Mayen Choar Kulang told Good News Radio that the attitude would help more people to realize the importance the peace day which is marked each year on September 21.

He highlighted the need for publicizing the International Peace Day in the country, through promotional materials such as calendars.

Mr Choar asked educated youth to promote peace and harmony among communities in Lakes Sate by interacting with their peers in the cattle camps and brig down enmity barriers.

He said business centres, stadia and schools were important infrastructures to bring people together and promote peace.

Mr Choar lamented that Lakes State did not organize any official event to mark the International Day of Peace due to logistical issues.
