The presidents of South Sudan and Sudan will meet in Ethiopia on Sunday to round up the post-independence negotiations.
Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press on Friday that President Salva Kiir Mayardit will go to Addis Ababa to meet Omar al-Bashir to wind up the outcome of the talks taking place there under the guidance of the African Union.
He said the presidential summit will be after the deadline set by the African Union and the United Nations for South Sudan and Sudan to conclude their post-independence talks.
The UN Security Council told both negotiating teams to come up with a comprehensive agreement by 22 or face non-military sanctions.
