Negotiating teams from Juba and Khartoum are fully engaged in the final leg of post-independence talks on pending issues taking place in Addis-Ababa.

The African Union High Level Panel (AUHIP) said yesterday in its Facebook page that the negotiators were tackling security, border, trade and banking issues.

The Panel explained that the negotiating teams were divided in cluster groups that met with experts and facilitators.

AUHIP published photos of the different meetings but did not elaborate on the topics or progress made.

South Sudan and Sudan should reach an agreement on all pending issues until September 22 otherwise they may face sanctions or imposed solutions.

Reports say that the agreement on the four freedoms about nationals and nationality is ready to be signed by Presidents Salva Kiir Mayardit and Omar Al Bashir.
