Sudanese rebels have accused Sudan’s ruling party of dodging the Security Council Resolution 2046 to empty its content.

SPLM-North spokesperson Arnu Ngattulu Lodi said in a statement that the National Congress Party wants to empty the Security Council Resolution 2046 and annul some paragraphs of the Framework Agreement on special items that address a comprehensive solution to the problems of Sudan.

Mr Ngattulu criticized the statements made by NCP’s Kamal Ebeid saying they were intended only for jamming and deception, and lacked credibility.

He stated that the SPLM-North is demanding full compliance with Security Council Resolution 2046 and with all its articles without procrastination and manipulation of time frame especially with regard to humanitarian assistance in Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile.

Mr Ngattulu affirmed that the Framework Agreement should help open corridors for humanitarian assistance to those affected by famine in Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile states.
