The Minister of Road and Bridges announced Tuesdy that United State Agency for International Development (USAID) will hand over the Juba-Nimule road to the Government of South Sudan.
Gier Chuang Aluong said the 192-kilometre road that was funded by USAID will be handed over to the government on Wednesday.
He explained that the Juba-Nimule road is classified as National Road 1 – N1 in short – because it connects South Sudan with Uganda and Sudan.
Mr Chuang added that the Juba-Nimule road is the priority of the government and that its work should continue after the rainy season.
