OFFICIAL CALLS ON CITIZENS TO TAKE AGRICULTURE SERIOUS

The Director of agricultural Extension in Central Equatoria State has aclled on the citizens in the country to take agriculture serious and not to conside it as job for those who failed to get government’s employment.

Catherine Juan said some people have bad opinion about agriculture thinking that it is for people wearing rugged clothes, Radio Easter reported.

She called on the communities to encourage their people through Radios about the importance of agriculture.

The Director of charity organization ZOA, Kevin Bittee appreciated the Catholic Church for supporting agricultural programmes and giving chance to farmers to develop their skills calling other churches to do the same.

He also appreciated one farmer who is managing 32 feddans hard work is expected to give food security to Yei, Lainya, and the whole country.

The director was speaking in Yei while accompanying a Dutch delegation to evaluate some agricultural projects funded by their government.
