A number of returnees who were flown from Khartoum to Juba three months ago are to be relocated.

UNOCHA said in its weekly humanitarian bulletin that some 1,600 returnees stranded in the National Teacher Training Institute in Kapuri, in the outskirts of Juba, will be relocated to a new site in Terekeka County.

The returnees will relocate to Kuda camp some 35 kilometres out of Juba.

UNOCHA said that Kuda lacks basic facilities.

Uumanitarian partners will need to provide relief and assistance in the short term.

The National Teacher Training Institute in Kapuri is due to reopen soon.
