The National Audit Chamber has today graduated 38 new employees to enhance quality work of the Chamber.
Peter Simba Lasu, the training manager said the 24 days training cover various models including audit report, documentation, environment and audit planning, Radio Bakhita reported.He added that the training is to enhance the skills of the new employees to produce quality reports.
Mr Simba said the audit chamber is mandated to give fair view on financial reports.
The chairperson of the audit chamber Stephen Wondu said the new team of the auditors is to help clear government payrolls before the end of the year.
He said the chamber is working hard to fulfil the promise of the president and the constitutional mandate.
Mr Wondu added that the financial challenges still remain obstacle to the chamber.
He appealed to the international community to feel the gap created by the austerity measures adding that the Chamber still lacks laws to act as independent body.
Mr Wondu said the new auditors will help the chamber in monitoring the reports of the government institutions at all levels.
