The Government of Eastern Equatoria has condemned an inter-clan conflict that claimed three lives and gravely injured four in Imotong Payam of Ikwoto County.

Deputy Governor Jerome Surur Gama said the unfortunate conflict between two clans happened Details on the causes of the conflict still remain unclear.

Mr Surur said a security team was deployed to contain the situation in Imotong.

He added that the commanding officer would give more information about the origin of the conflict when he reported his findings.

Radio Emmanuel has established that the death figure has increased to four.

Three victims were from the Loyilok clan.

An unconfirmed report indicates that one person died from the Logire clan.
