Western Bahr El Ghazal secondary students won the national inter-school games that started last Thursday and concluded yesterday in Rumbek, Lakes State.

The second position was seized by Warrap state students.

Jonglei State students were unable to get a single trophy at the games.

Lakes State governor Chol Tong Mayay told the girls and boys that took part in the games that the best winners were those who made more friends from the different states of the Republic of South Sudan during the competition.

He urged all who attended the games to keep the best memories about Rumbek.

Eng Tong reminded the crowd that Rumbek National Secondary School is the foremost secondary school in South Sudan and produced a number of leaders including late Dr. Garang de Mabior.

The Governor apologized for any inconvenience that might have occurred in terms of accommodation and food.

Eng Tong recognized that some playfields were rough and the time for the games was too short.
