Police in Budi County have arrested a 27-year old Congolese citizen identified as Tandu Justin on suspicion of printing and circulating fake notes of South Sudan Pounds in Chukudum, Eastern Equatoria State.
Mr Tandu was arrested Wednesday morning after police found a consignment of chemicals suspected to be used for making false money notes.The suspect claims to be from Cameroon but his documents are issued byÊ the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mr Tandu told Radio Emmanuel that he worked over six months for a Chinese road construction company in Budi County before his arrest.
Police have detained the suspect to help investigations into the circulation of lase money in the county.
