Catholics were called to deepen the cultural values of their faith to deepen their commitment with Jesus Christ.
Secretary General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba, Gabriel Asida Andrew, told the participants on a two-day workshop to incorporate Catholic belief into their cultural settings, Bakhita Radio reported.He said communities can be brought to the love of Jesus Christ .only through inculturation.
Fr Asida explained that women could play a greater role to resolve conflicts in the community.
He said all topics under discussion at the workshop, including gender based violence; conflict resolution, reconciliation and forgiveness, are present among the various communities in South Sudan.
Fr Asida called on the participants to arrest all issues of conflict, violence and all forms of gender based violence in society.
The two-day workshop drew some 30 participants from six parishes including Saint Vincent de Paul-Gumbo, Saint Joseph-Juba and All Saints-Rajaf.
