A university student has been elected chairperson of Eastern Equatoria Musicians Association.
Kennedy Ongie artistically known as Young G got 23 votes against his opponent Juda Osuru also known as Ojazy, Radio Emmanuel reported.Young G is a third-year student of Social Anthropology at the College of Economics in the University of Juba
Ojazy received three votes and got the vice chairpersonship.
Acting Director for Culture, Youth and sports, in the state ministry of Culture and Social Development, Justine Thomas Ondogo, announced the results of the election and declared Young G the winner.
Mr Thomas announced that CMM Rav4 and Robbi King were elected unopposed as Secretary General and Finance Secretary, respectively.
The artists also filled up the positions of Information Secretary, Security, Advisors and Master of Ceremonies.
The elections took place on Saturday at the Youth Centre in Torit.
