Directors and Director-Generals from the ministries of Social Affairs, Humanitarian and Economic Planning are undergoing Gender Mainstreaming training sessions in Juba.
The Undersecretary at the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Esther Ikere Eluzai, said the training targets Directors because they plan and implement policies of the ministries, Radio Bakhita reported.She said training will help all workers at various levels to understand Gender mainstreaming so that they can disseminate issues of gender mainstreaming for the purpose of equitable development in the country.
Mrs Ikere said gender mainstreaming is vital for achieving Millennium Development Goals because it goes across all communities.
The three days training workshop is dominated by female Directors.
