Heavy rains have cut off a community in Western Bahr El Ghazal from basic services, but UNMISS promised a bridge.

State MP Julio Bensinsio Anou told Voice of Hope thatÊ residents of New Site face difficulties in crossing to Nazareth where basic services such as schools and market are located.

He explained that New Site community is cut off from the world during the rainy season due to floods in Khour Ghabat.

The MP added that there are plans to build some bridges in the area to address the issue of isolation.

Mr Bensinsio announced that an official from UNMISS in the State visited the area on Monday.

He offered to build a bridge very soon.

Mr Bensinsio disclosed that the Government has reached an agreement with Eyat Company to maintain the road that connects Agok and Nazareth via Majak area.
