The headmaster of Mayo Girls’ Basic School has rejected a report that one of his pupils was admitted to the hospital after being slashed by a teacher.

Gurtong website said Happy Elario Pangarsio claimed an instructor gave her ten strokes by for missing school.

Headmaster James Nuri Ukello told Voice of Hope at Wau County Education Office that the report was offensive to the state ministry of education.

He dismissed the allegations as lies.

Mr Nuri said the girl was admitted to hospital due to natural sickness.

The headmaster testified that on Thursday he gave sick reports to three girls, including Happy, for normal treatment.

He added that during a staff meeting the school established that Happy was a nigger and was beaten outside the school premises on Independence Day.

Voice of Hope was unable to meet Happy to verify the school authority’s claim.
