Citizens of South Sudan have made no development after the end of decades of civil war.
A section of people have expressed disappointment over lack of basic services after signing the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, Radio Emmanuel reported.
People at the streets of Torit town said that the governments have not performed to their expectations.
A section of citizens raised issues of recycling cattle raiding, tribal conflicts and random killings that the government has failed to address.
Some citizens complained of poor roads, lack of safe drinking water and that they are surviving on God’s mercy, but not on the government.

The deputy speaker of Eastern Equatoria state Assembly, Hon. Paul Napwon acknowledged that a lot of government officials were involved in corruption during the last 7 years.
He warned that citizens could easily lose trust on the government if the trend of corruption continues in the new nation like the stolen 4 billion US dollars.

Eastern Equatoria state governor, Louis Lobong Lojore said citizens have the rights to raise their concerns on development but disputed that governments have not performed since CPA.
He states that some of the utterances are because the people had too much expectations and hoped development would come within short time.
He added that citizens complain because they lack knowledge on operations of the governments.

Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit, Johnson Akio Mutek said only people who were not within the country in 1990s cannot realize that changes have occurred.
He cautioned that corruption should be checked to avoid returning to earlier condition.
