United South Sudan African Party (USSAP) has on Tuesday started to review its constitution and manifesto as a powerful governing document of the party.
The workshop organizing Chairperson, John Jada, said it took the party long time to bring together the party members to review the constitution and the manifesto, Radio Bakhita reported.He added that after the workshop the party members will have a powerful political knowledge for enlightening their fellow members in the states.
International Republican Institute (IRI), Resident Programme Officer Vince Trovato said the purpose of training the political parties in South Sudan is to empower them.
He said USSAP is one of the political parties working out its constitution and manifesto so that the party is in line with the rule of law.
Mr Trovato said next months IRI will review all the political parties’ documents to see whether the parties are registered according to the South Sudan political party Act.
