The teachers in the Nuba Mountains region of Sudan were called to be responsible and behave well following their code of conduct in order to be role models for students.
The call comes after some teachers in the region were involved in irresponsible acts with pupils in the schools.Kumbur Payam Assistant Education Supervisor, Botros Kuku Anur, said teachers are role models in the society.
He added that this year teachers have been involved in quarrels and impregnating pupils.
The official said teachers should give good example.
Mr Anur stated that some teachers were behaving like their pupils and that was not correct.
The Assistant Education Supervisor called upon all the teachers in Kumbur Payam to fight illiteracy and ignorance.
