The Committee of the Education, Science and Technology in the National Legislative Assembly will hold a two-day public hearing for the General Education Bill 2012.
The hearing will be presented by the Chairperson of the Committee of Education, Samson Ezekiel Ndukpo from 19th-20th July in Juba.Mrs Ezekiel said the Bill provides for the establishment of a regulatory framework and structures for general education in the republic of South Sudan.
He said the Committee will hear testimonies from the Ministers of General Education and that of Justice who drafted the bill.
Mrs Ezekiel added that hearing will give opportunities to the non-governmental and civil society organizations working in education to comment directly on the bill and propose amendments.
The public hearing aims is to gather information and contribution from all stakeholders involved in the education system in the republic of South Sudan.
