The President of the Republic has donated 500,000 South Sudanese pounds to improve Juba Medical Complex, (JMC) infrastructure.

Salva Kiir Mayardit pledged the donation after officially inaugurating the JMC this morning in Juba.

Addressing the attendance, President Kiir said he offered this support because he noticed the needs of Juba Medical Complex and its attempt to offer medical services to the people of South Sudan.

The President asked the national minister of Health to discuss challenges affecting the Complex with its authorities in order to seek further support.

President Kiir said having one specialized medical facility in the country is not enough to serve the whole population of South Sudan.

He said his government will support health facilities just like any unit of the government.

The Director of Juba Medical Complex, Ronald Woro said his hospital is equipped with 15 specialized doctors in various fields.

Treatment in the Juba Medical Complex is cheaper compared to ther Medical Complexes abroad where South Sudanes attend to for medication.
