A journalist working for Bakhita Radio has won United State’s Foreign Press Centre Youth in Politic Reporting Tour for 2012.
Mading Ngor was selected for U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Press Centre Reporting Tour Programme after many journalists from the Third World applied to participate in the event.In an effort to rotate recipient countries, the organization invited applications from countries other than China, India and Nigeria that participated in the event last year.
The U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Press Centre Reporting Tour Programme annually invites reporters from the Third World to participate in the event in New York.
The project will begin on Monday, June 11 and concludes on Wednesday, June 20.
Mr Ngor is expected to leave for Washington DC within this week and the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Press Centre for Reporting Tour will facilitate his travel and accommodation over there.
