A human rights group is carrying out a survey on the impact and destruction caused by SAF aerial bombardments in the SPLA-North controlled areas of Nuba Mountains.

Rashid A. is the Heiban team Coordinator. He said the team has already started its activities in the Heiban County.

He said yesterday they visited Kalkada village and they found a lot of problems there due to the aerial bombardment that happened few months ago.

Mr A. stated that their main aim of this survey is to make sure that the civilians are protected from aerial bombardments and are given humanitarian relief.

He urged the Nuba community to report all the incidents that happen regarding aerial bombardments so that they submit the evidence to the Amnesty International, an organization that reports the abuses of human rights.

Sudan’s indiscriminate aerial attacks have been affecting many civilians in Nuba Mountains since the beginning of war in June last year.
