The Central Equatoria State’s Committee for resources mobilization to support the national army has today urged the citizens to offer supplies and called on the youth to join the army ranks.
The head of the committee, Gender and Social Development Minister Mary Apayi Ayiga, told journalists that the committee is urging residents in the state to participate in the mobilization of resources for the defence effort.She said the people of Central Equatoria are called to take this call seriously and mobilize items for the soldiers in frontline defending the country.
Ms Apayi appealed to youths who are able to register to join the army in the frontline to defend the nation.
She said youths are to register en masse, get trained in military activities and march to the frontline and join their brothers and sisters in the SPLA to protect South Sudan.
Ms Apayi added that the state Government contributed with 200,000 pounds in cash for the army.
