A Sudanese Antonov warplane flew twice this week over Wau, the capital of Western Bahr-El-Ghazal.

State caretaker information minister Angelo Taban Biajo told Voice of Hope Wednesday that the security situation in the state was still √É’very aggressive.’

He added that the Antonovs over Wau are a very bad development because the city is not a military area.

Mr Taban, who also heads the State High Mobilization Committee, said the gathering of volunteers and resources for the army goes on in the three counties to reinforce border security.

The minister made these statements at the end of a meeting with state ministers, county commissioners and youth representative to mobilize resources to protect South Sudan’s border with the Sudan.
