The Catholic Diocese of Yei Sunday concluded a four-day Symposium under the theme “One Church from every tribe, people and nation” with special focus on the role of the youth and women.

The conference, attended by over 70 people, was a diocesan follow-up on the Symposium that took place in October in Juba under the same theme for the Catholic Church in Sudan and South Sudan.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe, who presided over the Symposium, said during the concluding mass at Christ the King Cathedral, that the diocese of Yei includes various tribes and all should be united around Jesus, Radio Easter reported.

He added that all received the same baptism and no Christian is better than the other.

Bishop Lodu went on saying that Catholics should reconcile with God and with one another to advance reconciliation among the many communities in South Sudan.

He said division cannot help Christians who should be people of forgiveness to build a reconciled world in justice to have peace.
