STATE AGRICULTURE MINISTER VISITS TOMBURA COUNTY

Western Equatoria State minister for agriculture visited Tombura County Saturday for the first time after his appointment last April.

Tombura County Commissioner Babiro Charles Gbamisi welcomed Minister West Yugule and his delegation, Anisa FM reported.

Mr Yugule explained that he went to Tombura County to encourage farmers and to announce the government’s policy on agriculture production in the state.

He explained that World Vision international promised to buy the crops from farmers.

Mr Yugule promised quality seeds to the farmers, including rice, maize, sorghum, sesame and soya beans.

He explained that the ministry only supports farmers associated in groups, co-operatives, women’s associations and returnees.

Mr Yugule decreed the closure of all bars and game places during working hours especially during the rainy season until 5:00 PM.
