Hippopotamus attacks are on the rise in Wunrok, Warrap state.
A hippo has been biting people at River Lol Moun in Wunrok Payam, Internews Network reported.Several people were killed by hippos in Twic County in the past months.
Two people were bitten by the beasts over the last two days in River Lol Moum in Wunrok.
Clinical officer Isaac Bith Madut told Mayardit FM in Tularei that three people are currently in hospital with bite wounds.
He says most hippo victims are fishermen.
Hippos kill more people in Africa than any other wild animal.
