The ongoing screening and registration of law enforcement agents into a personnel database will finish with ghost names in payrolls.
National Interior Minister Alison Manani Magaya explained that the ministry is issuing a number to every law enforcement agent after the final screening to stop the illegal infiltration of ghost names into payrolls. He added that the ghost names issue has been a big problem all over the country to all government institutions and ministries.
Mr Manani said the phenomenon made it difficult for law enforcement agencies to know the exact number of people they have in the ranks.
He added that the personnel database registration will show exactly how many officers are and who and where they are.
Mr Manani said the training should continue for all the database units to operate efficiently connected to the General Headquarters in Juba for proper control to ensure normal faction in the states.
The interior minister explained that the training represents a big step forward for data management and efficiency among the organized forces.
