The Minister for Higher Education has ordered the closure of higher institutes which do not meet the criteria of the Ministry.
Peter Adwok Nyaba said Wednesday the ordered the closure of 22 private institutions that cannot meet the conditions of higher education in the Republic of South Sudan.Dr Adwok added that the Ministry is writing to the Ministry of Justice to institute legal measures against the 22 private higher institutions because they have been cheating the citizens of South Sudan.
He said the closure was recommended by the ad hoc committee tasked with the study higher education private institutions in the country.
The Minister declared the closure in a press conference held in Juba on Wednesday.
