IDPs, Internally Displaced Persons, in Aweil North say their children’s education is being impacted because of displacement.
The IDPs told Nhomlaau FM that they wondered if their children would get back into school because there were more important immediate concerns such as food and shelter.IDP Abuk Manyuon said they are unable to find any schools to put their children into since they arrived in Jaac payam of Aweil North.
She added that the search for food is affecting the amount of time IDPs can focus on educating their children.
Around 5,000 IDPs are displaced from villages near River Kiir following the recent border tension between South Sudan and Sudan armies at Warguet on Northern Bahr El Ghazal.
