The Secretary General of the United Democratic Salvation Front Mainstream political party (UDSF-M) in Lakes State has expressed optimism that the outcome of the ongoing national constitutional review process will be a Charta that represents the will of the peoples of South of Sudan.

Alfred Ater Ariau told Good News Radio at the party’s first general assembly under the new leadership that he was hopeful that the permanent Constitution of South Sudan will unite people and allow them to express their opinion freely.

He suggested that the role of organized forces in the country should be clearly defined in the Constitution for the sake of ensuring that they are neutral while executing their duties.

He observed that some officers have fallen into the trap of political partisanship.

Mr Ariau said all political parties in the country should have a good vision and mission for the people of South Sudan.

He added that politics should be geared towards development and service delivery.

Mr Ariau revealed that the UDSF-M prioritizes the areas of education, health and security in the country.

He called for an end to random killings in some parts of the country, urging the people of South Sudan to shift their energy to the development.

Mr Ariau said that the UDSF-M as an opposition political party has the duty to ensure that public services are delivered efficiently to all beneficiaries.

He termed the relationship between his party and the ruling party SPLM as brotherly, adding that the two parties are working peacefully and driving the same development agenda.

UDSF-M chairman Gabriel Changson Chang, who is the national minister for Wildlife Conservation and Tourism, is expected to tour Lakes State on Monday.
