24 trucks loaded with food aid reached Nasir County in Upper Nile State over the past two weeks.
South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission office in Nasir said the 24 trucks were dispatched to three payams of Mading ,Nasir and Kier.Speaking to Naath FM, Coordinator for South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Isaac Yien Pouch said the food aid will reach all counties before the rainy season begins in May.
He added that the relief food rations will be distributed to all people in Nasir County without inconveniences.
Mr Yien clarified that Nasir payam will receive more food than the other payams due to its larger population.
He added that the distribution will be done in collaboration with local chiefs in each clan for transparency.
