Sudanese forces continued to bomb the territories of South Sudan for the second day and some bombs fell close to Bentiu, in Unity State.
SPLA spokesperson Colonel Phillip Aguer Panyang told the press today in Juba that SAF, the Sudan Armed Forces, this morning were bombing an area between Bentiu and Rob Kona using ground and air forces.He said Jau, Panakier and Teshwin are being bombed since yesterday.
Mr Aguer classified SAF bombardments as violations of the border demarcation agreement.
He said the SPLA forces are around oil-rich Higlig area although their intention was to repel the SAF attack and not to capture the place.
He said the SPLA captured a SAF sergeant during the attacks.
Mr Aguer said the SPLA is committed to peace and stability between South Sudan and Sudan.
