The second cross border conference for the three Kakwa groups living in South Sudan, Uganda and DR Congo concluded yesterday in Yei.
Yei River County Commissioner Elia Waiwai told Radio Easter that the first Kakwa conference was held in Koboko district of Uganda in December last year and they chose this year to meet in Yei.He added that the conferences aim to bring together these three Kakwa groups across the borders.
The three-day conference under the theme “Enhancing harmonious leaving across borders” drew more than 500 people from South Sudan, Uganda and DR Congo.
