Pupils of Morobo Primary School, in Central Equatoria State, are on strike due to the change of their headmaster.
Data Moses, Morobo County Press Secretary, told CRN via e-mail that the striking students reached the point of slapping the new headmaster who is trying to normalize the situation at the school. He said the situation remains unstable but the education director, who is currently in Juba, issued directives to his staff to arrest the situation.
One pupil in the school compound said the transfer of their old headmaster will affect their future.
He added that the pupils have already become used to the new headmaster’s behaviour.
The Parents and Teachers Association of Rodoba Primary School are also resisting the change of their headmaster and the issue was not yet solved.
