The president of the Republic has warned citizens of lack of respect to the National Anthem.
President Salva Kiir Mayardit made these comments on Saturday after witnessing people crossing, running and dancing while the National Anthem was being played at the swearing-in of Governor Clement Wani Konga, Bakhita Radio reported.He urged the citizens to take it as a law that whenever the National Anthem is being sang all must stand in attention.
President Kiir also reminded the dancers to remain silent when the dignitaries speak during such occasions so that they understand what the leaders were saying.
President Kiir questioned whether dancers go to the occasions to listen.
